THE BEST THING ABOUT GOLF TODAY
was that we got to see a blue heron hanging out by the 13th hole at Maplewood Golf Course. I couldn't grab my camera in time to take the photo I really wanted. There were several red-winged blackbirds sitting on the tops of cattails, all in a row, by the pond also on #13.
Actually the heron was the 2nd best. The BEST thing was going home! Really. My knee was clunking, I was out of energy by #14 and feet were hurting. I discovered a blood blister on the bottom of one of my toes which explains some of my pain. Not to mention how poorly I played. Getting in the shower was pretty sweet!
