PINOCHLE DAY
This afternoon was our ladies pinochle day.There is a $1.50 buy in with 8 of us playing at 2 tables. Then the money is divided out between the biggest scorer, 2nd biggest, lowest score and the last pinochle. I didn't start out too well, but things picked up and I actually had the highest score so won $5.00. No one had a pinochle until my next to the last hand and my partner and I did it! We each got $2.00. So, I'm up $5.50! We always have dessert which allows us to sit and visit for 45 minutes to an hour until the first person gets up to leave. All in all it is a fun way to spend a drizzly afternoon. I skipped dessert. Sigh.
