Button Christmas Tree

I was feeling crafty today and after getting inspired by some ideas from the website Pinterest (http://pinterest.com) I decided to make a cristmas tree out of the MANY buttons that I have saved over the years. I have more buttons than you can imagine! I already had the styrofoam cone and an extra box of long white tipped pins so I was ready to go to work.

I think I should have a craft day and invite ladies in to do some crafting together. Sounds like fun, doesn't it!?

Not sure where I will put this, but those are some OLD buttons!!

10 on 10 Craft Time

With the chilly weather approaching and golf relatively over, my mind drifts into my craft room. I've got several unfinished projects that I would like to get back to. For instance, I have 3 quit tops that need to be layered and quilted. One of them is a Christmas lapquilt. Not to mention the other quilts that I have purchased the fabric for but have yet to start. I will have to live to 120 to finish all the quilt projects ahead of me!

Here are 3 (oops I see a 4th top in there) quilts that need to be finished, and some fabric cut into strips for another top.
And here are those black slacks than need to be hemmed up. The curse of being short!
This kitchen towel won't take long to embroider, once I get things set up!
I love having made this design "wall" in my craft room but it reminds me of MORE projects that need to be completed.

I saw these fabulous crocheted chocker necklaces for sale and decided I could make my own! I already had this battery operated bead spinner but how many do I need to string to make sure I actually have enough to finish this necklace???

Ahhh. Finally a finished project! Shauna asked if I would make Hailey a scarf for her neck. I just happened to have some black cotton yarn so a few hours later it was done.
Since it was my grandma who taught me how to knit when I was a child and I still have some wool socks that she made for me...only 50 years ago....that I still wear to bed when my feet are cold....I thought it would be fun to actually make a pair of socks myself. When??
I've really been enjoying reading some good fiction lately. This is my 6th Lee Child book and I'm about 1/2 way through with it. This is his latest writing but starts at the beginning of Jack Reacher's escapades!

And finally, here are a couple of other things that need tended to:

Leaves, leaves, leaves....everywhere!

How do you think this birdbath got overturned? It is HEAVY concrete for crying out loud! Had to be a deer. Must have spooked and run into it. It is always something!!
