Where does WA rank in foreclosure rates in Feb. 2009?

Right in the middle! Number 25, showing a total of 3,021 homes. Number 1 is Nevada with 15,783 for the month. And Number 50 is Nebraska with only 13. These placings must be made per capita since Florida had 46,391 in February but ranked 4th. Unfortunately my information doesn't explain how the states arrived with their rank. If you look at Nevada's % change from February 2008, foreclosures are up 155.93%, where Florida is up 42.97%. Washington is up 36.08 from 2/08 to 2/09. And Nebraska is down 94.37%! For those of you that like statistics you might find all this interesting. We hear a lot about the worst states for foreclosures, so it is no surprise to find These top 5: Nevada, Arizona, California, Florida and Idaho. At the bottom are Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont and Nebraska.

Blog is back! And here is a recipe for CAKE IN A MUG

OK, so ignore my previous post. It looks like making a new post has kick-started things and all is well in my blog-a-sphere! Here is a recipe that I have not tried yet, but found it posted by a friend on my facebook page. Here goes:

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional and of course we chose this option!)
a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract and mix again.Put your mug in the microwave and cook for3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little,and tip out onto a plate if desired. YUM!

Hailey Madison Myron has arrived!

Our daughter, Shauna, gave birth Friday morning to Hailey who was 6 lb. 6.5 oz. and 18 3/4" long. Isn't she a cutie pie???
